Can someone tell me what a PUMA is?  I was reading TalkLeft, where someone accused the blogger of being a PUMA.  There was a great deal of discussion over who is and who isn't a PUMA, but no explanation of what a PUMA is or whether this is an acronym for something.  I suspect I might be one, so am very curious.

While I still strongly believe that not only would Hillary have been the better president and the stronger candidate against McCain, I believe Hillary must be on the ticket as VP.  Only Hillary and Obama together will completely unite the party and bring all of the enthusiasm of so many millions of Hillary supporters to the ticket. Most of Hillary supporters will certainly never vote for McCain but will they work for Obama, make phone calls, canvass, travel to swing states, donate money?  I spent almost a month in PA (I am from NY) in 04 working for Kerry. Right now, I can't see myself doing anything but voting for Obama if Hillary is not on the ticket.
Moreover, I can't fathom the mean-spirited, and often vicious tone of the remarks of those who must hate Hillary so much that they can't compromise and see what is best for our party.  That's what they've been asking from Hillary and her supporters to do for months. But now when the party could be united in one stroke, they show their true colors and refuse to do the same.
